The waterways ofPavia & Gaggiano

Ticino and Naviglio, the Ponte Coperto and Ponte di Barche bridges: This route shows the natural and historic heritage of the area between Pavia and Milan at its very best. The starting point is Pavia station. The route takes you across the beautiful Ponte Coperto (which has been rebuilt three times over the centuries) and to the Medieval Borgo Ticino. You then travel along the banks of the canal to the highlight of the ride: the famous Ponte di Barche bridge in Torre d’Isola. From here, cycle on to Bereguardo and along the Bereguardo Naviglio before taking a detour on the country lanes that head to the farm houses around Gaggiano. Hop on a train at Gaggiano station to head home.
