The NaviglioGrand Tour

A real Grand Tour route winds its way through the countryside and villages along the Navigli, the Parco del Ticino, and the towns near Pavia. This loop includes all the shorter ARDA cycle routes. You can either cycle all 155 km, or hop on a train for part of the route. Another excellent idea is to break it up with an overnight stop in a local agriturismo or farm house – either in the Ticino countryside or in town. Vigevano offers some excellent places to stay. The town’s Renaissance-style Piazza Ducale is well worth a visit. This route is full of long sections that take in the beautiful natural landscape of the Parco del Ticino.
