Farmlandaround Milan

Enjoy a 50 km ride through the farmland of the Parco Agricolo Sud, before heading back along the pleasant Naviglio Grande cycle path. The route begins in Via Barona and takes you towards Assago, across the river Lambro and past Lake Santa Maria and Lake Mulino di Cusico. The whole landscape bears witness to the historical importance of the waterways for the local paddy fields and farms. Castello di Rosate marks the halfway point, a Medieval fort which was put under siege and conquered by Federico Barbarossa. The route then heads back north to the Naviglio Grande which accompanies you all the way home.
