ExploringMorimondo Abbey

The outward leg of this route takes you through the rural Parco Agricolo Sud, while the return follows the cycle path alongside the Naviglio di Bereguardo canal until it reaches the Naviglio Grande. The majestic Morimondo Abbey is at the halfway point. Several well-preserved traditional farmhouses and agriturismi nearby also sell local produce. Although this is a longer route, it is nonetheless extremely peaceful and easy-going. Simply slip into the rhythm of the waterways that flow over the sluice gates, alongside the tow paths and under bridges. The route can also be shortened by taking the train back to Milan from Abbiategrasso or Gaggiano.
