Crossing theTicino river 1

This river ride covers a little over 80 km and explores the woodland and countryside to the north and south of the Ticino. This satisfying route is fairly challenging in terms of distance and we recommend taking a gravel or mountain bike. The route starts at Turbigo station and follows the river to Vigevano and the town’s Piazza Ducale, before heading through Borgo San Siro and Parasacco – famous amongst cyclists. The route continues to Pavia and the picturesque district of Borgo Ticino which you meet on your way into the town. A ride across the Ponte Coperto bridge is the best way to bid farewell to the Ticino river at the end of this long ride.
