This circular route is ideal for families with children or anyone looking for an easy day-trip. The route takes you into the Milanese countryside between the Naviglio Grande and the Naviglio Pavese. The rural landscape includes farm houses, paddy fields and other local agriculture, all a stone’s throw from the centre of the city. This is the heart of the Parco Agricolo Sud di Milano, where the landscape is dotted with farm houses that carry on age-old rural traditions. There are several agriturismi along the route, as well as local stores and restaurants offering an unexpected variety of delicious fare. Farmyards become hands-on workshops for children to learn about plants, animals and the local way of life.
