A brief ridealong the Ticino

This route explores the extraordinary biodiversity of the Parco del Ticino as it runs alongside the river and dips in and out of the woodland on either side. Setting off from the station in Turbigo, this ride runs along the Naviglio Grande before taking you into the woods that edge the Ticino. You can cross the river on the road bridge, where it’s possible to cycle on the pavement. Tarmac, gravel lanes, woodland, canals and fields; this varied route leads to Vigevano and its extraordinary Palazzo Ducale. You can head back by train, or continue to Pavia along the Turbigo-Pavia route.
